February is a month of celebration as well as a hot-hot month. Before Chinese New Year, the children caught some virus bug but they are getting better after the celebration. The daily attendance has improved. Those absentees are either still in the celebration mood or away on holiday.
To the parents of the class’ new children, I hope you had a wonderful time with your very 1st festival celebration at Nania. All the children put in their very best efforts that day. Even the wasp incident did not deter the children from continuing with their presentation and your calmness also helped. Thank you to Doven’s mum for her quick offer of ointment.
We have called the Pest Control man to check around our garden and we are pleased to say that it was an isolated incident on that day. We do not have a wasp nest in the garden.
With the celebration behind us, now we have the singing and movement in the class after the morning snack. Your child might be singing some of these songs - “you put your right hand in, atas bawah goyang2, kuali ini ada lubang and many other action songs” at home. I enjoy these sessions with them as the children are truly happy when they are singing and playing along.
All the children enjoyed the outside playtime very much. A few children are able to climb the ‘ciku’ tree very well now. However, we have to limit the amount of water they can bring to the sandpit as we are teaching them to conserve water. Once we have rain again, we will let them play ‘muddily’ as they love to dig tunnels in the sandpit and carry water to make ponds or canal.
March is an equally busy month in the class with 4 children having their birthday celebrations. We continue to pray for the well-being of the children in the class daily.
