It was a pleasure to have spent a wonderful Sunday morning in the Japanese School Hall with you, your family and your children.  The positive energy of children running about excitedly and participating spontaneously in the games rubbed off on all the teachers.  So, we ran and moved along with them tirelessly and had a great time together.

Our appreciation goes to the fathers and some mothers too for their spontaneous participation with their children in the presentations, games and high jump activity.  Because of your input, the games and activities were more fun and lively that day.

While the young ones ran, and jumped tirelessly, some fathers set new records for high jump this year

The big children of Nania demonstrated their growing capabilities by moving in time to the “Kumi Taiso” movements.  Every year they have watched their predecessor ‘ko-ko’’and ‘che-che’ present these movements.  Hence, they mastered the movements and were excited to show their parents their moves last Sunday.

I am sorry that I was too excited and carried away towards the end that I forgot to gather all the children together to sing the goodbye song before we went our separate ways.  I also forgot to thank Mr Tan (Brighton’s dad) and the Japanese mothers who have served in the committee properly on their effort and help.  Thank you, Mr. Tan once again.

One of the big children in our class followed his parents overseas.  From social media, we noticed that he carried with him the weaving bag that he made during the big children lesson.

Each of the big children are taking turns to make their pieces of weaving into bags with my help.  So very soon you can see them carrying the bags around when they come to Nania.  I am very proud of their capabilities and efforts.

We will break for a week and I wish you a wonderful holiday with your child/children.

I will fast during the Ramadan month.  So, Teacher Ang and Teacher Nicole will be with the children during lunch when we come back from the holiday break.
