Thank you for sharing a precious Sunday morning with us in the Japanese School’s hall for our Sports cum Family day. I hope you have enjoyed your time both with us as well as your child/children.
We appreciate your spontaneous participation with your children in the presentations and games. Because of your input, the games and activities were more fun and lively on that day. The siblings present on that day also supported us by participating earnestly in all the events.
I was moved when the big children of Nania overcame their shyness and showed their confidence while doing the “Kumi Taiso” movements. Although Sheildon couldn’t join the rest as he was admitted to hospital on that day, the strong and brave lad has recovered his health.
The children ran and played all the games tirelessly. Soon, it was time to say goodbye. The children must have felt proud to receive origami medals from the committee of mothers.
I wish to thank those who have lent a helping hand by carrying chairs and equipment. Many thanks also go out to the committee members for all your help.
The excitement of Sports Day continues in the children’s memories. They still play “The Train” game using hoolaa hoops during our outside playtime and sing “Go, go, go, go, Mr, Train…….”.
Last week, our neighbour whom the children called Auntie passed away peacefully. When the temporary tent was set up, one of the boys said someone had passed away in that house. The five-day wake and funeral were peaceful and quiet. On the last morning, children heard music from next door and they asked about it. I told the children that the Auntie has gone back to the heaven. We also prayed for her to rest in peace. Maybe some of your children would have told you about this experience.
Meanwhile, the corn seeds that the children planted during our New Life Celebration has sprouted and grow taller day by day. The children are amazed at how fast the corn plants are growing. Soon, they will be taller that the children.
I encourage all the children to bring a cap or hat for outside playtime. Please remind your child to bring their hat or cap everyday. Some small children can’t recognise their belongings. Please write their name on their belongings i.e. towels, hats, shirts o dresses, pants and underpants.
