Dear
parents,
Thank you to all of you who attended our Sports cum Family Day. Sports days with parents have been stopped for the past 3 years due to the pandemic. We felt so thankful that we went through the difficult time together and could gather with you all again. Our graduated children from last year were invited to join us too. We hope all of you enjoyed your time with us as well as with your child/children.
We appreciate your active participation with your children in the games. Because of your enthusiasm, the games and activities were more fun, and lively on that day. The siblings present on that day also supported us by participating earnestly in all the events.
I am glad that the big children in English Class overcame their shyness and showed their confidence while doing the “Kumi Taiso” movements. They mastered the movements and were excited to show their parents their skills on Sports Day.
The children ran and played all the games tirelessly. The hall was filled with their laughter, and their faces shone like the sun. The children must have felt proud to receive origami medals from the committee of mothers and teachers. One graduated child and a big jie-jie gave their medals to two younger children who were crying because they didn’t get the medals. We are very moved by their understanding and kindness. Later, the teachers made more medals and gave them to them.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have lent a helping hand. Fathers help guide at the car park and carry the chairs to the van. Many thanks also go out to the committee mothers for all their assistance and support. We were grateful that two parents who are doctors were there to give advice during the emergency of a fainting boy. Thank you for your prayers for him.
Thank you to your parents who shared your photos with us. Teachers also took many photos of the sports day. This year, we will send you a Google Drive link to our Sports Day photos folder.
Last month, we celebrated Mother’s Day, and this month we will celebrate Father’s Day. Children are busy preparing presents for their father now. Mother and father are the most important people in our lives. Young children need to feel the unconditional love of their parents. They imitate the outer movements and inner feelings of their parents. Parents were their first “teachers”. They depend on their parents to make the right choices for them regarding their foods, routine, sleeping time, kindergarten, lifestyle, and value, as they have yet to have develop functional thinking abilities. We strive to cultivate a feeling of gratitude among the children during these two celebrations. We hope you like the presents from your child/children.
Mother's Day Celebration
We harvested the vegetables that the children planted during the New Life celebration. Aunty Janet cooked them for us, and children ate them happily. They said the vegetables were yummy.
We will break for a week, and we wish you a wonderful holiday with your child/children.
