Dear parents,
Harvest Festival was celebrated on a bright and sunny morning.I rejoiced that the English Class children were punctual and enthusiastic throughout the presentation.I also appreciate the parents’ support for this event.Everybody enjoyed the bread that the children and their siblings made in the morning.
A few days after that, we celebrated Deepavali, the Festival of Light The children were treated to Indian traditional cookies during snack time and they liked the Muruku best. Teacher Chitra related to the children the story behind Deepavali.
The children are in a festive mood now that they have started to practise songs and poems for the coming Christmas Festival on 17-Dec-2008 (Wednesday). They have also started to weave, draw and decorate their paper ‘Christmas sock’ and are going to bring home this sock filled with their beautiful drawings and paintings on the day of the festival.
In Taska Nania we are working on the theme of ‘sharing and giving’ with the children for the Christmas Festival. The focus of this festival is to connect the children to their inner beings and cultivate the goodness that lies within them.Christmas is not just about receiving presents, having parties and dressing up.It is also about giving and nurturing kind thoughts and love to others.By encouraging them to carry a kind thought for others, we hope to help the children rekindle their inner lights and experience the warmth and joy of sharing and giving.
We enclose herewith songs and poems for the Christmas festival as well as the programme for your information.I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the Christmas festival.
Children’s World
One day, a few children made tunnels using the dividers. One of the 6 year old boys used a string to tie both ends of the legs so that the tunnels stood firm.Another boy tried to imitate him but was not successful. When I asked them why it was so, the 6 year old boy immediately answered that because the string was too long. After he made some adjustments, the 2nd tunnel was able to stand firm. In the end, all the children enjoyed crawling through the tunnels that morning.
I am pleased to see that the children are already so imaginative and creative at such a tender age.

Greetings from Teacher Thian
Dear parents,
I was looking forward to meeting all the children after my holiday in Kuantan. I missed their laughter and cries. But on that Sunday (19-Oct-2008) morning, my little boy wanted to come to this beautiful world earlier. Some of you must have been shocked when you heard that I have delivered because my expected delivery date was early December, 2008.
Although I was not so prepared for his early arrival, I was thankful that I was peaceful throughout the labour. Looking into his sparkling eyes after the labour pains made everything worthwhile. Although he was born small, he is healthy and even surprised the pediatrician when he was able to breast feed on his second day. We have named him Adel Lim Tzi Yuan.
On the other hand, I regret that I didn’t have time to bid farewell to the children. I really enjoyed the time spent with them in Nania. I will surely miss them very much. Hence, I was very happy that some of them came to visit my baby and me.
To all of you, my dear parents, thank you for your support and understanding. I appreciated the time when you shared about your children and parenting. I have learnt so much from your experiences. Now that I have become a mother for a month, I realized how challenging it is to be parent. I also want to take this opportunity to say goodbye to all of you and wish you all the best in your future.
