Congratulations to Alfred, Ashley, Charis, Cheng Yuan, Dennis, Kye and Yun Shuen! On 17th November we held our Graduation Ceremony for the 7 graduates mentioned above. For the past 11 months, they have put in much hard work and dedication for this special day. They are an awesome, caring and supportive bunch!
On graduation eve, the teachers transformed the classroom by decorating it with colorful cloths. In the morning of this special day, we added some final touches and finally the classroom was ready.
One by one the children came in and they were pleasantly surprised to see the beautiful decorations. The graduating children came in their best and we could see that they knew this was their special day. The younger children also dressed up and were filled with anticipation for the day and admiration for their seniors.
We thank all the graduates parents all dressed up to make this momentous day a very special one as well. Our principal, Junko, greeted our honorable parents. When parents walked into the classroom, they set a cordial atmosphere.
The graduating children stood upright and completed their presentation confidently. Words cannot express how happy we were when we watched their presentation. And we believe you all felt the same.
The small children also gave their full support to their “koko” and “jie jie”. They also looked forward to their graduation ceremony in the future. Throughout the long ceremony, they tried to sit as quietly as possible and whenever the occasion required them to say something to their ‘koko’ and ‘jie jie’, they congratulated them lovingly. They also gave a drawing book and a gnome basket to the big children.
Through the parents’ sharing we learn about the changes in the children and discover how they have used what they have learnt here to care and love their friends and family. We hope these will be lasting changes. We truly appreciate the significant role you play in nurturing them.
To the graduating parents, it took years to build relationships, trust and a team with shared goals. Our objective has always been to provide children with an environment to develop and grow as preschoolers.
So, it is very hard for us to believe that these 7 children are leaving us soon! You have entrusted them to us for years and we truly appreciate that trust. Thank you for sharing your children with us and allowing us to be part of your ‘family’ during this time.
To the graduating children, it is time to move on. We will miss you all very much. Nania has given you the happy childhood that will stay in your memories forever. You have spent and the precious memories that we have with you, we will treasure and be with us forever. We love you!
We have started rehearsals for the coming Christmas Festival. We hope to see you on that day. We enclose herewith the Christmas Festival programme and song sheet for your attention. We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas festival as well as spending another year of wonderful moments with the children.
