The rainy weather is here again. And somehow, more children are catching coughs and colds. To keep the children healthy, we encourage them to eat well, drink plenty of water, maintain active play and gargle their mouths with salt water after lunch.
As a result, we are glad that most of the children have kept themselves healthy despite this cough/cold period. We hope they all continue to be so because we would like them to support their class “koko””and “jie jie” during graduation day.
Time flies and in a wink of an eye, it is time for our class graduation on 16th November (Friday). This year we have 3 boys graduating. We have known them since they were 2 years old. They initially joined us as part of our Nania Saturday Playgroup.
Through the years, we watched these 3 boys blossom day by day. Gone are the boys who constantly needed to hold on to the teacher’s hand. Today, they walk upright, ready to face new challenges. Looking at them now, we only have love and admiration for them.
They paid attention fully and diligently completed all their props. After they had done so, we could see the satisfaction on their faces. They are now rehearsing hard with the classmates for upcoming graduation. They do not complain or fuss during their many rehearsals. They just want to do their very best and are looking forward to their “big day”.
For the smaller children, they have also been busy rehearsing with the big children as well. Lately, the atmosphere in the class is full of happy laughter as they anticipate the arrival of the final moment when these ‘ge-ge’ will perform their presentation.
All the children in the class are busy drawing beautiful drawings which will be bound into souvenir books for each of the graduating children.
Hence, to the dear parents of these 3 graduating children, please reserve 16th November (Friday) as you are cordially invited to join us on graduation day. Hence, we have a small assignment for you. To keep the tradition alive, both father and mother are requested to share with us a simple and touching story about your child on that day. We look forward to your sharing on that day.
Deepavali is just around the corner. The display corner has now been transformed! It is now graced with beautiful gold embroidered sarees, colourful bracelets, coloured wax lamps and ornaments that are used during the festival.
In our upcoming celebration at Nania, we will relate a Deepavali story to the children and sing Deepavali songs together. For morning snack during the celebration, we will have Indian cookies and “muruku” made by our cook, Aunty Anny. We encourage the children to wear Indian traditional costumes, if you have any, to be in the mood for this wonderful festival of Lights.
