A Happy New Year to all of you. I am delighted to see all the children, healthy and cheerful, after the holidays. As we welcome 2019, we also welcome 2 new boys to the English Class.  The existing children show their love and care towards their new friends.  The two new boys have gradually settled down.

Before school re-opened, we teachers cleaned and washed the toys in the classroom, dyed the hanging and play cloths as well as cleaned the classrooms.  The classrooms were clean and fresh to welcome back all the children. We kept all the same settings to cultivate a sense of belonging in the children. However, some children noticed the renovation in my office as the door opens when they pass by.

Arriving to class by 9a.m. gives the children enough time to do artistic work and play. When they arrive late, they either miss out on the artistic work or do not have enough time for creative play. I seek your cooperation to bring your child to Nania punctually.

Most of the children are now able to unpack their bags and begin the day with artistic work independently or with minimal help from the teacher.  After they have finished their artistic work, they join their friends in creative play till it is time to clear up.  Together with the rest of the children in the class, they then put back the toys to their respective places.

After that we have our morning gathering where we sing and pray for our absentees. If your child is absent because of sickness, please inform me (H/p no: 016-4039982) before 8.30a.m. so that we can wish him or her speedy recovery.

Kindly take note that I don’t attend to my handphone after 8.30a.m. as I will be then in the classroom engaging with the children. So, you have to contact the office (04-2265480) if there is any urgent message for me after 8.30am. I will only read my WhatsApp after 4.30pm.

The children who are turning 6 this year are now big “koko” and “jiejie” in the class. It is a good start that all of them can arrive punctually to class. They have enough free time to play or do weaving after they have done their artistic work. In the afternoon, they will fully engage in the literacy lesson after lunch. They are eager to learn to read and write.

The 5-year-old children continue creative play with the small children after lunch. They take up the leading role and play creatively with the younger children.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. The children are trying their very best during practice sessions for the upcoming Chinese New Year festival. However, during the actual day, some young children may need your encouragement to participate bravely in front of all the adults present that day.

I look forward to seeing you and your family on the 1st of February (Friday).  Attached herewith is the programme and song sheet for your attention.

All of us at Nania would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’.
